Does TECEP count towards (30) RA credits at TESU?

But isn't the capstone the last thing you're suppose to finish before you graduate? Dang that sucks... I should just not do the TECEPS to begin with then. Or should I do it? What do you recommend? From the wiki, TECEPS seems like a free trial to see how it will be like when going full time? Dang, I think I picked a wrong class, could I tell the admission counselor to switched to another class? I picked environmental ethics but I did that for sophia for environmental science, not sure if they match. This seems overwhelming... I feel like I just need to do the study.com before committing and having to evaluate again.

In general, yes, but they'll let you register and take the capstone once you've reached 100cr, so doing it during a final 15cr term is fine.

I took the Env Ethics TECEP and used the Saylor Env Ethics course as prep. It's a tough test with 5 essays and requires serious self-study to pass. A lot of TECEPs are like that. They are not easy ways to get credit, they are merely cheap and if you know the material and are a good test taker, they can be fast. I did it because way back in the stone age, there weren't many other choices to meet the ethics requirement, I probably wouldn't choose it now.

I do think you should probably do all or most of your ACE credits (like Sophia) first, if you're unsure about which path to take. Withdrawing from a TECEP is exactly like withdrawing from a course. You have to do it before the deadlines to get your money back.

Oh I see, dang I should have chose SOC-1010 or anything but that... Yeah I already did majority of the Sophia courses. Oh I get it now, the way I look at TECEP/E-Packs, they're like actual courses whereas the TECEP it doesn't affect your GPA. It just helps with getting a free credit but then I just don't understand why it doesn't go towards the RWF is beyond me. I got it for free but if I drop it then I have to pay a fee?

You just signed up for it this week, so you shouldn't have to pay a fee if you drop it now.

E-packs and TECEPs are different. E-packs are more structured.

It sounds like you could spend some time reading the TESU catalog to familiarize yourself with the different options. I would also recommend doing the "how to be a student at TESU" optional modules that they signed you up for when you were accepted. They only take a couple hours and will answer a lot of your questions. TESU would have sent you an email about it.
