Quote:The one transcript that has been received for you has in-progress coursework for this fall term. Pierpont does not record from this type of transcript. As soon as final grades are recorded the fall term at University of the Cumberlands, request to have your transcript sent to processing@pierpont.edu so it can be recorded.
Are your final grades on the transcript or does it state in progress? They didn't say semester. They said term. Two different things. Many colleges don't operate on semesters especially online programs.

Pretty lame honestly.
Yeah I can't view your link without logging in so that's not happening.
Are there grades on your transcript for the fall semester or do all of your courses say in progress?

I can get why Pierpont would want the entire semester to be complete. If you were to fail to pay all of your tuition, or had other financial issues, then these "final" grades may not be properly awarded. There could also be related courses, like a science course and lab, that are not truly independent and the credits for one might not count unless you passed the other. There could even be academic standing issues if you were to fail an in progress course, and be put on probation because of it.
You may know that none of these things are true. However, while they can see any "in progress" courses for that semester, they fear that they are not really seeing final grades.
UMPI transcripts are also by the semester. Why? Both colleges have on campus students who work in semester whereas the online students are in 7-8 week terms. It's not the university's fault as they have 2 types of students and educational platforms can only do so much without costing big $$$.
Yeah, I figured it was the norm.
