I'll let those more knowledgeable than me chime in, but I do believe if you're starting from 0, it isn't a bad idea to keep "enrolled" status to preserve the catalog for the year your enrollment began. I also believe you're limited to 2 credit evals while you're not enrolled - you'll want to finish your alt credits and get them transferred over every so often to avoid issues like ACE recommendation changes - I wouldn't want to get up to 90 alt credits, try to transfer them all at once, then find out 20-30 are no longer accepted or don't fall into the slots I thought they would.
