Pierpont is clearly wrong about their BOG degree requirements and this is proven by all the other WV colleges and universities offering the BOG degree who do not require 12 RA credits be taken at their institution.
No where in the BOG guidelines does it state or imply that 12 RA credits must come from Pierpont or a WV school to meet the BOG requirements.
Now they do have the option of requiring that 3 credits be taken at Pierpont but that is optional ("may").
As I and others have argued before, Pierpont is missing an opportunity to profit off this degree by requiring a special 3 credit course like, "The History of West Virginia" at Pierpont and pricing the entire degree for around $2000-$4000. They just need to keep the pricing right below any equivalent RA Associates Degree. It could be a literal gold mine but with money to support the staff necessary to oversee it.
