Public accounting firms only care if you have the credit hours to sit for the CPA exam and get licensed. A lot of master's programs require certain classes before beginning graduate level work. I have a BS in Mass Communication and I had to take a lot of undergraduate business and accounting courses as prerequisites. Check your state requirements. California required 24 units in accounting and 24 units in business related subjects. It can be a combination of undergraduate and graduate units.
