Or would it be better to earn both degrees directly from UMPI by doing the Sophia.org courses for 90 credits, completing the 30-credit residency, getting a BA, and then moving straight into a Master’s program? Which option is more highly respected? Will ENEB appear like a diploma mill, or will the final Master’s degree be what really counts? Also, does anyone know if UMPI’s YourPace program might eventually offer a Legal Studies degree or anything law related?
It really depends on the demographics of that person, if they're 25 and have no certs, degree, experience, then the UMPI Bachelors & Masters would be better. On the flip side, if they're 45 and have plenty of certs, experience, but missing the degree, then a couple/triple of quick ENEB programs would do the trick. You gain entry into the MAOL or MSB anyway, it's the finish that counts. YourPace doesn't have a law/legal studies option, you can always add a minor if you have enough pre-law classes that hit the minor.
So a scenario could be:
Pay $200 for Sophia, $200 for SDC, then transfer - paying $1,700 for a Bachelor’s and $2,800 for the Master’s, with solid brick-and-mortar backing.
Another option, if someone already has the experience and just needs a degree to support their role, is to follow the quick ENEB double master’s route, get an agile degree, send it to ECE for a $200 evaluation, and then use it for the $2,800 MSB.
Also, how do you add a minor? Is that an easy process? For example, an MSB in Enterprising with a minor in Pre-Law?
You cannot add a minor for master's programs. And Sophia SDC is only for undergraduates. Also, MSB is $2400, not $2800.
