If I were not already working on a fully accredited MBA, I would definitely convert my ENEB coursework via the Unimarconi transfer.
No one knows until this Marconi deal is done or someone completed but for now I don't see any posts or documentation of this, just hypotheticals....
Maybe? Has anyone seen ENEB Gard evals from IEE or ECE get used?
UMPI MAOL? has anyone got them to accept at the 6 credit max?
Would love to hear about actual transfers yes, thanks
Meanwhile,
1. We have seen a 1 Livello get evaluated by WES as a US Master's degree
https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...ne-Courses
2. University of Toronto accepts the 1 Livello, 2 Livello, and Magistrale, all as equivalent to a Canadian Master's.
https://www.sgs.utoronto.ca/future-stude...valencies/
(1 Livello and 2 Livello are called Laurea Specialistica)
3. On this thread, we saw evidence that a 2 Livello got a WES Evaluation as a Canadian Master's (noting this for consistency's sake with the University of Toronto).
4. It would be great to hear about credit transfer success for ENEB students using IEE evaluations in the US or Canada, etc.
I think it really boils down to, is this going to help or not for the time and investment?
Wouldn't that depend on what a person is trying to do?
- Looking to do a doctorate - It's pretty logical that a 1 Livello is not supposed to get us there.
- Not looking to do a doctorate - It's pretty logical that one can list their 1 Livello as an Official, accredited MBA/Master's and be proud of it.
Therefore, is it a fair statement to say that it's not "worth it" to upgrade a propio into a 1 Livello because it isn't an upgrade to a 2 Livello?
Is it realistic to expect that a propio can be upgraded to a 2 Livello in the first place when it doesn't appear to be that way?
There's a probability that a 1 Livello might get evaluated as being less than a US Master's degree.
However, let's clarify a huge difference here that's important.
In the US, the word diploma gets used for the high school diploma, and it's rarely seen again thereafter. It is very understandable that it may not sound like it's important. There is a HUGE difference between the two outside of the US. For example, there's a pretty wide gap between a certificate and a diploma.
In the UK, graduate level is called "postgraduate". Undergraduate level is called "graduate" level.
US: Graduate and Undergraduate
UK: Postgraduate and Graduate
- A Postgraduate (US Graduate) Certificate consists of 3 courses
- A Postgraduate (US Graduate) Diploma consists of 6 to 8 courses
- At the very least, even if it is evaluated below a Master's degree, a US Graduate Diploma is 2x the weight of a US Graduate Certificate!
For the 9 courses taken at ENEB, there's no credit that is actually transferring over.
Have to re-do ALL 9 courses, effectively because there's a comprehensive Exam for those 9 subjects. An exam that is administered by Unimarconi. On top of that, have to do a thesis.
It is very evident that no credits are transferring. Unimarconi is willing to give 60 ECTS if one can pass the Unimarconi exam for the 9 previous modules, and write a thesis, and meet the standards as administered by Unimarconi.
If you are expecting a transfer of 60 credits, and another 60 credits to get a 2 Livello degree, please explain what 1 Livello degree and 2 Livello degree consist of the same 9 modules?
60 ECTS from completing a 1 Livello does not mean one becomes eligible for admission to a 2 Livello
Livello 1 degrees do not make way for a Livello 2
Why? Because Livello 2 degrees are for people who already have a Bachelor's and a full Master's. Folks qualified to pursue a doctorate degree, but choose to add an area of specialization at the 2nd Master's level without going the doctorate route.
If being able to progress to a doctorate is a serious concern, should we not look for other options, instead of poo poo'ing on the 1 Livello?
I get that people put in a lot of time and effort into multiple ENEB degrees, and maybe it's a bit of a shock that at $2350 and extra work, it still might not get evaluated as high as one wishes.
Even though at that stage, US NACES evaluation would only matter if the intention was further styudy towards a DBA or PhD.
I find it hard to believe that every single ENEB graduate here wants to get a doctorate

Despite what the wiki says, there are differences between a propio and a 1 Livello.
Is it fair to say that an unofficial degree is the same as an official degree?
I would take it or leave it and call it a day.
