My question is this, If I got my A.A at TESC and transfered back to my college would they waive the core classes, *only one I need is math*, or will they still require me to do math even though I have an A.A?
eyrobinson is right. If your college is a 4 years school, then the short answer is maybe. If they are a community college then certainly no.
The college's catalog will have a section on transfer policy. You want to look for phrases like "x credits awarded for the transfer of an AA degree" which indicates a block transfer. This means they don't evaluate each credit alone. Your best bet would be instate- meaning if your college is in NJ, you have a better shot of a block transfer.
Here is a shout out question- does anyone here know of a college that accepts an AA as a block transfer outside of regular articulation agreements?
I just answered your pm by the way.
