Ron,
I'm like you Ive been out of school for 30 years. I opted not to CLEP the college math and take a "regular course" since I figured It had been too long since I've taken any math. Im currently enrolled in Excelsior College Math, and the word college shouldnt even be in it. It starts out with addition and subtraction covers percentages, measurement, basic geometry, signed numbers and finally intro to algebra. there is no homework required. there are a total of 12, ten question quizes and a 50 question midterm and final, all online, none are proctored. It was so easy I finished 1/2 the course in a week, although you can only turn in two quizes a week. It was almost pathetic that they call it college math, but alas its 3 credits in college math. This may be an option for you.
