Here's a possible roadmap for TESC History (assuming they will allow a substitution for US History 100 level courses with other US History courses):
CLEP
Western Civ 6 credits L (2 permitted 100 level courses)
DSST
Vietnam War 3 U
Soviet Union 3 U
Modern Middle East 3 U
Europe since 1945 3 L
Civil War 3 L
Ohio U
Ancient Egypt 2.67 U
Ancient Greece 2.67 U
Ancient Rome 2.67 U
History of American Journalism 2.67 U
History of the African American Worker 2.67 U
The latter two aren't found under the list of history courses so you would have to check with TESC, but given their titles they might be acceptable as history electives. In place of the latter two listed under Ohio U, maybe these would work:
UNC Distance Education at UNC: Self-paced Courses: History
These are self-paced correspondence courses but you can bypass the classwork and simply take the final if you wish.
History of American Business 3 U
North Carolina History since 1865 3U
The UNC option might be prohibitively expensive for non-NC residents, though.
The ECE American Dream might also work for 6 UL credits.
