Credit for upper division classes

Those distance learning options sound like a good bet, i am currently applying for the ba in liberal studies with most of my credits being in Arabic and business, but I think I only need one ul credit in any subject. The worst part is that socad, tesc, and charter oaks all say they will accept those classes as ul, it's only excelsior that is insisting that they are lower division.

I'm not sure which subject area/depth you need the single UL credit. Did you look at Excelsior's Liberal Arts catalog and compare the credits you've earned to what EC grants upper and lower level credit? A simple check should answer your question. If not, you can easily earn an upper level credit through an Excelsior College exam or DSST exam. It all depends on whether you need a math/science, social science/history, or applied professional upper-level credit.

I earned a BS in Liberal Arts from EC and finished all my upper level credits in a month through Excelsior College exams. Granted, it took non-stop study, but it can definitely be done.
