The study guide can be found on the Excelsior College website, with several practice questions. It is not a difficult test to pass, but if you are looking for an A, there are a whole lot of random facts that you have to memorize. I studied well, didn't find most of the test to be too difficult, but just BARELY got an A on it. You can easily find most of the required books for less than $5 each on the internet... except the EC textbook, which I never even bought (how dare they expect me to have three large text books for one freakin' exam???).
