I started this course a couple of days ago while on vacation and I am almost done with it.
The course consists of about 13 chapter tests,a midterm and a final. These tests make up 700 of 1000total points. The rest of the points come from three graded writing assignments: an email request for a meeting with an advisor, a fictional resume and cover letter to a fictional employer and a 1200 word short report on one of four topics.
The tests were pretty easy and are completely doable after clicking through the online presentation and then doing some flashcards with terms. I also scanned the text for the chapter being tested to make sure I knew where important topics would be covered. The chapter tests consist of ten questions reverse engineered from text in the book so you just need to scan the book to find the answer. I ended up with 634 of 700 points on the tests.
The written assignments are straightforward but the short report is going to take some time. I spent one hour each on the other assignments but the report will probably take five hours total to complete.
I havent submitted my papers yet but I will report back when I do. I don't need to score very high in order to pass so I'm really just trying for an A on this and nnot a pass.
Overall i would recommend this course but e book is a must for some of the tests. I scored high on a few of the first tests without the book but then bombed one with a four out of ten. I then stopped taking tests and waited until my nine dollar used book showed up from amazon.after having the book it's so much easier to score 90s on the tests.
