To Really Learn, Quit Studying and Take a Test

I saw that on Morning Joe the other day.
I think that the way we study, going over the objectives, maybe reading some material like the REA book and then diving into a test is a great way to learn.
I will never learn the way I used to. Now no matter what the subject I will punish myself with a test if it is available. It just gets the brain going.

I learned a long time ago in bodybuilding that you have to shock the muscle to create growth. That means that you can't just go through the motions you need to apply a significant stressor and the body will react. Its the same thing with testing.
