Thanks in advance for any insight.
Below is the verbiage on the Diploma I received in Spanish and the English translation according to AI.
TDLR:
As Universidad Isbael I | UNISEB is certifying and presenting the specialization Diploma, arguably, this is the conferment of a degree diploma (I hope this isn't it)
If this is the ISEB Diploma, and there will be another Ui1 Diploma then, at this time one can only say this diploma is certainly nicer than an ENEB Diploma.
If this is the final outcome, (I don't see how it could be without any mention of ECTS or modules), there is no real academic difference, actually it's less valuable as there is no mention of ECTS on this diploma and thus I suspect there will be an additional diploma from Ui1.
As the UNISEB Convalidation is not being offered at this time, and we are not sure if it will be offered again, my thoughts are, simply to be nice and congratulate those who have completed or are completing the program. Those who are considering it, no need to bother at this time, because it is not on offer.
Personally, I did it more to get closure to my ENEB studies. My personal view is that ISEB, via the UNISEB programs, is the new preferred model.

I believe the reason why they are approving an evaluation for me is because I submitted my IEE course-by-course evaluation along with my other documentation. If you are using a NACES or AICE evaluator for ENEB, get the course by course evaluation and then Validential will likely grant the Masters degree equivalency by general evaluation for Universidad Isabel I like they did in the past. It turns it from evaluation of ENEB to validation of another foreign credential evaluation of Universidad Isabel I / ENEB, granting an accredited Masters equivalency by degree title.
Note: I haven't agreed to the evaluation and am only making the assumption that it will be an accredited Masters degree equivalency.
This is pretty big, Validential formerly straight out denied any ENEB/U1 evals, nice job on submitting your IEE
Sorry to say this, but I think we need to avoid false positives please, just a few months back I:
- Spoke to Validential on Livechat, completed the order and was asked to email the docs
- I emailed the Ui1 documents, then Validential gave a quote - pretty much immediately after speaking on Livechat and me emailing the docs in.
- I paid for the Evaluation
- The salesperson then forwarded the docs to the evaluator thereafter
- Moments later, the evaluator at Valdiential rejected it, and Validential initiated a refund
- I called and spoke to people that day, and again the next day
- I wrote multiple emails during these days, citing all NACES and ACEI members who evaluate ENEB and/or Ui1.
- I thought of showing an IEE and ECE evaluation as well, but stopped because why would you want to show that NACES Members viewed it as less than a RA Master's?
- Validential explictily stated that the mention of ENEB on the Ui1 Diploma is the reason they are refusing to evaluate.
- Ultimately, Validential declined to evaluate and processed the refund, but I lost some money in the process
I asked Validential sales did they evaluate ENEB and they confirmed they did not without me submitting any documents. I then asked would they evaluate only for Universidad Isabel I and they said submit documents to receive a quote. I'm not going to do the evaluation but it was interesting for them to accept my documents after I initially confirmed ENEB would not be evaluated but the Universidad Isabel I certificates could still be accepted for a general evaluation.
You are correct that this is not a confirmation that they will evaluate Universidad Isabel I and that the IEE evaluation may not make much difference in their evaluation or even guarantee that they will perform an evaluation. The fact that you lost some money definitely will keep me from continuing with the process of payment.

Some time ago, SpanTran (now known as The Evaluation Company, a NACES member) representatives participated in a TAICEP conference where they specifically used ENEB - Universidad Isabel I MBA (old diploma) as an example of a título propio.
See here for proof; https://www.taicep.org/taiceporgwp/wp-co...EP2021.pdf
Now ENEB is claiming that you can only get a proper título propio (a "university-specific degree" instead of a "university certification" award) after paying for a new upgrade. This doesn't sound very convincing to me. Their old diploma can still be verified on the Universidad Isabel I website, not on some certicloud site; it has definitely been treated as an actual Spanish título propio credential by credible credential evaluation bodies. This increasingly looks like a marketing tactic to receive more payments.

To your point, many US FCEs have already evaluated the previous ENEB and/or Ui1 certs as titulo propios, so you are 100% spot on.
ENEB didn't claim that UNISEB was the only way to get a proper propio, they simply explained it was a propio issued by Ui1 instead of a certification of ECTS by Ui1 and that it was "better".
It was a 1 time offering, so I don't know what the fuss is all about. Nobody is pushing this on anybody anymore. It's not offered, it's finished, for now.
From what I can tell, ENEB is a marketing-driven business. I have happily paid $560 to get a more visually and contextually appealing award with better documentation. A. diploma that mentions Ui1 first, signed by the rector of Ui1, with a raised seal of Ui1, a transcript that first mentions Ui1 and closes with Ui1 with a stamp and signature on the transcript at the end, and the diploma is beautifully done. So far, all of it is an improvement from before.
The question is, will there be a supporting diploma, the actual Titulo Propio from Ui1, and how will it read? Will there be another transcript from Ui1. There was no mention of another transcript.
It seems like the UNISEB Transcript is supposed to be the Ui1 Transcript, albeit without ECTS. As the transcript says Ui1 and is signed, stamped, with Ui1, as long as the Titulo propio from Ui1 has the ECTS, then technically it should be good enough for ECE to accept the transcript. ECE is the only one that made a fuss about the ENEB transcript.
Validential refused to evaluate the Ui1 Diploma that says ENEB. Will they evaluate a Ui1 Diploma that says UNISEB/ISEB, don't know yet.
Only time will tell, and ultimately, an evaluation will tell the difference. In theory, it's really just ECE that could potentially treat it better by adding the GPA to the Bachelor's equivalency. All others that have accepted ENEB transcripts as is, and evaluated the award as graduate level credits/cert/diploma, etc, with GPA, it wouldn't make much of a difference.
The good news is that the email from UNISEB explained that it would take 90-120 days after issuance of the digital diplomas to receive the titulo propio degree from Universidad Isabel I, available for download. So we don't have to worry about the recent digital diploma being the only paper we receive; there will be a diploma from Ui1, according to the email from UNISEB.
Apparently, "Emitido" below is the qualifying clause describing who issues the degree. expedicion refers to the process of "sending". Talk about repetition and ambiguity.
"Recuerda que la expedición del título propio universitario emitido por la Universidad Isabel I tarda un plazo aproximado de 90-120 días desde que confirmas tus datos en el Campus Virtual. Una vez estén disponibles, verás los documentos en la misma área de descarga de tus diplomas digitales de UNISEB y recibirás un correo informándote sobre esta actualización."
"Please note that the issuance of the título propio university degree issued by Universidad Isabel I takes approximately 90–120 days from the date you confirm your information in the Virtual Campus. Once available, you will see the documents in the same download area as your UNISEB diplomas and will receive an email notifying you of this update."

The "university-specific degree" thing just sounded weird considering that you're getting the same Spanish título propio award, not some kind of a different award, as you point out. The transcript and diploma appearance will be different and the hope is that this will provide additional benefits. I am fine with that, although the "one-time opportunity" is also rather odd when you think about it.

It's still a propio yes, but not a certification between an unaccredited private school A and university B like in the past with ENEB/Ui1. UNISEB is presented on their website as a collaboration program. Collaboration is a positive indicator for validation of an education/degree from a partner.
The degree should now be validated by the university itself. I guess you first receive the UNISEB/ISEB diploma and transcript, and then UI1 will take around 90 days to issue the degree itself.
A big difference is that certification is not the same as validation, and the institution that issues the degree matters. I guess, the first diploma is still a certification (issued by ... and certified by ..) for the creation of 'UNISEB,' while the second diploma, which comes with the degree from UI1, is important for validation.

It wasn't exactly marketed as a "one-time opportunity"
ENEB Announced in August a UNISEB Convalidation, available until 8/31 at 60% off, and hasn't been offered since then.
Doesn't necessarily mean that they won't be offering it again in the future.
If a person reached out to ENEB to request it, they proably woudn't mind taking payment
The landing page is still there, but the Hotmart link doesn't take the coupon code anymore.
https://eneb.com/convunisebusd/
If it wasn't compelling in August, and it's not compelling now, nobody from ENEB is forcing it.

So far, I don't see much difference in terms of the wording: "This title is certified by Universidad Internacional Isabel I and issued by the Instituto Superior Europeo de Barcelona (ISEB)." One is issued ny ENEB and the other by ISEB. ISEB is also an unaccredited institution.
I am from Europe and I really don't expect to see any difference in terms of título propio evaluations in the region due to the UNISEB upgrade. European country evaluation agencies know perfectly well that this isn't an official degree in Spain, and that it doesn't merit the same standing as an official Spanish degree. There might be better evaluations in other regions though, so who knows?
