USAA (a bank focused on veterans) offers a free class called "Command Your Cash" that qualifies for credit from University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) or American College of Financial Services.
The credit awarded is FINC 321: Fundamentals of Building Wealth at UMGC.
There was no question or verification of veteran status. It appears like 3 upper division credits. I will apply to UMGC while the application fee is free and transcript the credits for transfer.

Edit: Evidently it's possible to register for both UMGC and American College of Financial Services. Both are regionally accredited.

This is neat! I'm a lifelong member of USAA and love seeing them do this.

Seems like a great course. Based on the description of it, I wonder if this would work as a free option to eliminate UMPI's Financial Management course. One of the problems people encountered early on was that Sophia's "equivalent" only lasted briefly before it was cut. Since UMGC's course is Upper Level and the course description matches objectives, milestones, and projects in Financial Management course, I would be curious to see someone complete this course and transfer towards UMPI. Maybe this is a work around since they have limited what courses come over as direct transfers.

Usually the credit awarding isn't Free. All that was stated is that the USAA course was free if charge. Read it carefully, it did not say that the credits from either institution would be obtained by the student without charges. I've been in too many of these situations before and I'm certain if the University intended to issue free credits they would certainly state that everywhere.
