10 years removed from school, 108 credits want to finish my business/finance degree
I thought you already started with your plan? It's been months. You should pick a plan and move on it.
CLEPS Passed: 10 DSST Passed: 11 TECEPS: 1

PrLoko-isms
Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.

Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.

Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.

Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.

Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

I know sorry for the waste of time, it's just the ease vs money thing...looking at the cosc plan that coursework and what's missing looks a lot easier to me

Business Administration Concentration:

What you still need:

General Education: General Education Requirements - Charter Oak State College Catalog
Speech (3) DSST Exam or seek a waiver (waiver for this is pretty common)
English Comp 2....you may have this with ENC1930, if not the DSST Technical Writing Exam.
Ethics, DSSt Exam, other exams available.
US History/US Government DSST and CLEP exams available
Global Understanding, DSST World Religions is a good choice
1 credit science lab. You might look into straighterline for a stand alone lab, won't be particularly cheap but you gotta have it.

So 3-5 exams (I think your OK with Speech and Eng. Comp 2, but might have to take those)
1 SL lab or a science with lab

Concentration:
Business Administration - Charter Oak State College Catalog
I think you are done here, I believe you have met the concentration requirements. You have enough UL credit.

Cornerstone Course (3) required: $1100
Capstone Course (3) required: $1100

2 semesters to finish
Application: $75
Semester fee: $245 (x2) $490
Graduation fee: $205

Total COSC Costs $2970 plus the cost of the exams ($300-500)....so right around $3500 for your bachelors degree

Current Fees - Charter Oak State College Catalog

**this was a quick look and you have to get the plan approved, but it should be very close.

how can I find out information about straighterline lab and how these things work?

I'm wondering if I can get a waiver for oral communication - and how I should proceed to request it
says I need ethics but just took ethics with ace and they are not classifying it under the ethics requirement but putting it under a free elective so I'm asking my advisor to reclassify (fi they do then I need a free elective worth 2 credits? to satisfy the 21 hours needed?)
where can I get information on the straighterline lab? it looks like I have credit for the science class but not the lab
for world history/us history which clep/dsst do you recommend is the easiest to knock out?

looks like I need business law as well as organizational behavior

Straighterline has most of what you need, just go to their website and look the courses up.

There is a waiver process for the Oral component, basically show experience with public speaking with part of your job or as an instructor and they waive the requirement.

I would use FEMA for my free electives, you can likely have 2 of those done in a day or so, they are free and the transcript to COSC is free. Anything that indicates "college credit" on this list should suffice. https://training.fema.gov/is/crslist.aspx

Straighterline sells the science course and the science course with lab separately. I even suspect, but do not know for certain, that one could take the lab all by itself. The lab kit can be kinda pricey so check on that before you commit (the A&P lab kit is like $250) I think the general biology kit is more like $50.

I would search through the specific feedback forum and/or freeclepprep.com to select a suitable US History course. Which one is easiest is relevant to your past experience and interest and not much else. I found the DSST Civil War quick and easy...but I'm a bit of a CW buff, so YMMV. All the exams with their values is here: http://www.charteroak.edu/Current/Academ...r-list.pdf Note the CLEP, DSST, and Uexcel exams for Org Behavior and Business Law.

You are very close, could easily be done by the spring.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this).  Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

thank you..I do feel close, after doing some of my own research and speaking to the school I came up with this list.

business ethics and society
us history
business law
org behavior

straighter line lab

so they just sent me the waiver form and it says i can request waiver for ethical decision making...I want to try and receive a waiver for both speech and ethical decision making

as for the free electives I currently have 21 of 21 credits satisfied...is there a reason I would want more free electives? I would need to ask if something in my current free elective can be used to satisfy another requirement? I doubt that is the case correct?
Reply
List looks good, I would only use the FEMA if in the waiver process you find yourself short of free elective credit....not suggesting that unless your short.

I would ask for the waiver for both...you will need 120 credits total and don't forget the 6 credits that have to come from COSC for the corner/cap stone.

I'm having trouble deciphering the info pasted.....do you have this as a sheet from COSC?
