According to ACE link above, the 1 credit intro math will have a proctored final. oh, that's new for sophia. hmmm.. thinking out loud here I guess those who haven't been in math for a while might benefit from it as a refresher course or something. ?

Just FYI, TESU offers a TECEP on "Liberal Arts Math" that is extremely easy and satisfies the BA requirement for math in most cases. So if that's all people are looking for, they might think about that.

Something I just noticed: several of Sophia's classes had their ACE status renewed and the update ACE listing says they now incorporate written papers instead of exams. Examples:
Approach to studying religions
https://www.acenet.edu/National-Guide/Pa...0d3a59618d
Ancient Greek Philosophers https://www.acenet.edu/National-Guide/Pa...0d3a59618d
It appears that moving forward, Sophia will be going in the direction of more written assignments vs tests.

I wondered about that. I remember a post recently where it sounded like someone had turned in a Touchstone with Ancient Greek Philosophers. At first I thought I was just misreading what course they meant. But it's changed.?? (edit to add: on sophia site, I don't see that it says a touchstone.. but from the recent post, and from the ACE, it might have. I don't know. )
Oh I found the thread where person mentioned Touchstone with Ancient Greek Philosophers https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...e-for-UMPI

Pfffffffftt to those written assessments because they take awhile to grade and their grading sucks based on my Eng Comp 2 experience. They haven't changed to the papers yet so get those credits done!
