$900 Elmwood Master of Leadership and Management (NA DEAC)
#71
In addition to Elmwood still being Patten, and not being just an affiliated or partner, there´s the point that this degree wouldn´t be a "propio style" degree, as the uselfulness of a NA degree is higher than a Propio degree. At least in Peru and Portugal, where you can register NA degrees as official degrees with their respective national authorities, but you can´t register propios.

About the "titlos propios". The base of it is regulated by this law:

https://www.boe.es/buscar/act.php?id=BOE-A-2021-15781

Start at Chapter VIII or art.36
They can have RUC or registry if the university follow extra steps.

Has anyone who emailed them heard back yet? I'm waiting for a response but wonder if I asked too many questions in one email. Smile

I´ll apply and try to register for one course.

I don´t think that locking the rate is usual, right? (as when I entered to the UoPeople in 2017, I paid USD$ 100 per course, and then I kept the same rate until 2024).

You get this box in your application:

" Advanced Standing (Transfer Credit)
List applicable courses at the graduate level satisfactorily completed for which you request Advanced Standing. No more than 50% of the credits required for a Master's degree program may be fulfilled via transfer credit. "

So you have to specify which courses you plan to transfer.

That's pretty lazy on their part.  They are the ones who are suppose to do the evaluation on what transfers and what doesn't. At the same time, I understand why they are doing this for the influx of applications they will get for the incredibly low price.

I listed all the graduate courses I had, let them decide what can or cannot transfer.  I actually forgot a few that I think may actually fit, but I haven't heard anything yet on the application - so I am waiting patiently. I didn't expect an immediate response based on the application process. And this forum post likely caused a surge of applications, not just us few who posted we did apply.

I think it's pretty standard for master's programs to ask you to list what courses you would like to transfer (if they accept transfer credit). After you make the request, they look at your transcript and evaluate those courses for credit (or no credit).

Am I missing something here?
