ALEKS Keyboard Shortcuts
#1
For those who didn't know, ALEKS supports a few basic keyboard shortcuts, but if you don't know about them you can lose your sanity. These are basically the same as the keyboard shortcuts on a calculator, or what you would use on a site like QuickMath.

Here is an excerpt from a training guide I found. Thank God for them using the ^ key for exponents, having to constantly take my hands off the keyboard to click that stupid blue box exponent button was killing me!

Thanks! I passed that along to my son.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have to keep this in mind when I get to this stage of my testing.

If you use certain keys a lot with your math and want to change something on your keyboard (like the scroll lock key to be changed to the ^ key), here's a program that's been recommended:

Map Any Key to Any Key on Windows 7 / XP / Vista - How-To Geek

Also, this would involve changing the registry so I would highly recommend doing a quick backup before you make any changes!

Hey that is cool, I may have to try that out. I'm on a laptop and thinking about getting a USB keypad to make the number entry much faster, but none have a ^ key. With this I could remap the NumLock key on those keypads to speed things up.

Thanks!
