ALEKS subscription question
#1
I was interested in using ALEKS to study for Calculus. However there are other subject areas I'd like to study on there too. My question is when you subscribe are you only paying for one course at a time? Or, for the monthly fee do you get to take several at once or bounce between different subjects. Can someone shed some light on this for me? Thanks.

I recall from the ALEKs thread that you are only able to take one course at a time....here is the link so you can check on it if you like..

Thanks. Unfortunately they don't offer the Precalc or Calculus exams for CLEP/DSST in Iraq. So, I think I will probably use ALEKs to study the material right now and then take the courses on Straighterline.com once they are available.

I just wanted to add that you CAN take more classes, but it's an additional $20 per month ($20 per person per month per subject). But, you can switch to another class at any time- so if you did subject a, and it took you 6 weeks- you can start subject b and try to finish it in your remaining 2 weeks before your billed (or at least get enough practice to CLEP).

You don't have to finish a section if you want to switch to another one, right? If a section is too easy and you want to go higher, you can bail?

Yes. Remember you get a free trial, so use that time to figure out the right class for you.

I signed up earlier tonight. I'm starting with precalculus. So far I really like the system. I can see why this is so popular on the forum. Thanks to everyone who recommended it. Let's see how long it takes me to knock out precalc.
