I had filled out the app and it timed out. I got a nice phone call from ASU half an hour later asking if I need help finishing. I logged back in and the system said I had to wait a day to try payment since it timed out. Great system…

Did you fill it out wrongly? You want a grad cert, but you tell them you want to "ladder" it up to a master's instead...

You apply by major. Either grad certificate or masters. They said you can ladder it up to a masters, but you have to apply to the masters for that. They wont give you credit if you apply for the graduate certificate.

Under How can a learner earn academic credit for 100 Million Learners courses? https://thunderbird.asu.edu/lifelong-lea...rners/faqs

B. How can I earn academic credit for courses in the 100ML Advanced Program?
  1.    Successfully complete all five courses with a total score of 80% or higher
  2.    Submit the final written projects for the five courses.
  3.    Request faculty evaluation of the projects (fee required)
  4.    Earn a final letter grade of B or higher for each course. This is calculated using faculty evaluation of final project and total course score.
  5.    Apply and earn admission to eligible ASU/Thunderbird programs (fee required)
  6.    Requesting credits be added to an academic transcript (fee required).
       a. Credits may be applied toward Thunderbird’s Master of Leadership Management degree program or graduate certificate in Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
       b. Credits may also be applied toward accepting programs at other accredited academic institutions.

So, if I am reading this correctly, it'll go into the Grad Cert Global Entrepreneurship & Innovation and/or Masters of Leadership Management. Basically, you'll have to pay more, in addition to the 3 fees above. I think it was mentioned previously as what I am copy/pasting...

$500 for grading (already paid)
$70 for application (already paid)
$2,500 for transcribed courses (next step)

How many credits are remaining for the Grad Cert? And how many more are for the Masters? It seems like a combo meal, you buy the Grad Cert or Masters and get the 5 (supposedly free courses) added to the degree or grad cert. It's worth it only if it significantly drops the final cost of the intended Cert/Masters.

It seems like they dont know what to do for it yet and different advisors are getting different information. What is clear is they want me to register for classes and pay them more money.

I will reach back out to them to try and figure it out.

Whoops i forgot to link it: https://degrees.apps.asu.edu/masters-phd...ssive=true. It's 15 credits and the 100 million courses satisfy all the requirements. Global Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Business satisfies the required core. The remaining 12 credits are "restricted elective" credits. "For restricted electives, students select four courses from the list above. Other courses may be approved by the academic unit." The credits are satisfied by the remaining 4 courses.

DO NOT REGISTER FOR CLASSES. It does not state anywhere that you have to take courses:
"How can a learner transfer earned credits to a degree program?
  1. Apply for admission to ASU or Thunderbird.
  2. Upon admission, request credit conversion through the university.
  3. If applying to another institution, request a credit transfer (subject to acceptance by the institution)."
The FAQs does state it may take between one and three months to have the credits placed on an academic transcript.

Under How much does it cost to have credits placed on an official academic credit?
$500.00 USD per course (three credits) within the Advanced program and $100 for grading each course. For the entire certificate, this amounts to a $2,500 USD transfer credit fee.
It would be ridiculous to go from Free to $500 to $3000 to $23,000 (Masters full tuition is $40,000 for 30 credits).

I don’t think I would jump to that conclusion yet, but they have been less than transparent and honest through this whole process so far…

In theory, you can get the grad cert if you've done the 20% leftover coursework and paid for the fees they required...

Update

After applying to Thunderbird, you simply need to email the 100 Million Learners support that you have finished grading and have been accepted to Thunderbird. Then they update your profile to allow you to pay for the credits through the 100 Million Learners Portal.

Just paid! Given this message:

"These courses will be added to your academic transcript. This may take between one and three months. Due to University processing times, this can sometimes happen more quickly than expected."
