ASU Universal Learner Certificates

Arizona State University Universal Learner now offers certificates consisting entirely of ASU Universal Learner undergraduate credit courses. For each certificate students must pay the fees of $25 to start each course then $400 to transcribe each course. A four-course certificate will cost $1700.

  • College Foundations Certificate in Sustainability – 4 courses, 13 credits
  • AWS Cloud Computing Certificate – 3 courses, 9 credits, "a co-branded, industry-recognized certificate from ASU and AWS (Amazon Web Services)"
  • Google Information Technology Support Certificate – 5 courses, 12 credits, "a co-branded, industry-recognized certificate from ASU and Google"

Interesting options, I think the co-branded ones are good by themselves, you don't really need it coming ASU (AWS, Google, etc, I wouldn't want to or need to pay extra for the ASU for these, just to have their name on it...) I would look into these offerings closely and see if you need/want them...

In regards to the first two certs, they seem like a good stand alone option or if you want to be adding that to an associates or bachelors. It may be worth it if you're trying to add the ASU name brand for recognition. Otherwise, the foundation certificates are introductory level classes, for the most part...
