ASU Universal Learner experience?
#11
@Kones, At this moment, I would recommend to appeal and send them screenshots from people who completed this just a few months before you have and see what they say. As a backup option, you may also want to email them asking about the Lawshelf.com courses, I'd like to get feedback on two, if you can do this as well... (ask about transfer equivalency, not take the course and then hope for transfer credit, this is for yourself and future prospective students). Please...

Lawshelf.com LIT-401 E-Discovery should transfer in as LIS-314 Electronic Information Retrieval Systems 3 credits. LIS is similar to CIS, MIS, etc... it's an info systems course. See if this can be used in the BACS AOS and/or the BSBA CIS AOS. Please and thank you... Oh, while you're at this, can you also have them verify that the Lawshelf.com GOV-202 Basics of Environmental Law do in fact transfer in as the ENS-360 Environ Sustainability & Social Justice 3 credits? Thanks!

Not surprised at this change, though it is disappointing. As they often do, TESU eventually developed proper equivalencies instead of the x99 special topics placeholders. Those of us who sent in credits before the shift are grandfathered in, while new people got the bad news. As an aside, this case illustrates why getting things pre-planned by academic advising is recommended.
I'm even more disappointed though that TESU isn't allowing data science credits in the AoS for the BSBA-CIS. Data science and analytics seem to fall within the umbrella of computer info systems. You could (and probably should) appeal that eligibility determination.
TESU Class of 2024 BSBA-CIS+GM, BSIT, ASNSM-CS+Math, AAS-GEN
