Most of the developing world does not speak English (well), so it'd be stupid to have that as a starting language if they're excluding the US and Canada. Stupider things have happened, but hopefully ASU is reasonable.

If you're going to start with one language, English makes the most sense. 1.5 billion people speak English. While not everyone in the developing world speaks English, many do...far more than any other language. The next most spoken language is Mandarin, but those speakers are concentrated in China and surrounding countries.

If I were specifically targeting the developing world, I'd probably start with French, Spanish, and Arabic. That gets you South America, large portions of Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

The courses are already in English and the site even says they're being released in English: "Global Leadership and Personal Development (English)."

The article shared was just describing what languages they'll be translating to. No need to panic.

Yeah, I wouldn't panic over little things such as this... time will tell when they'll get to North America. English is the language they'll use first and then further expand to other languages afterwards. Give it some time...

If I recall correctly, 6 months is how long they expect it will take, but you can go at your own pace.
I am already going through the welcome videos.  I think I may prefer to stream the videos on my TV.  Some of the slides he shows have some small print…. For my over 40 eyes.  LOL

I shall have a lot of free time this summer when I am out on knee surgery so I might be able to bang out the course.
