Hello everybody, I have pretty much finished up 3 years of clepping/dssts and have 1 year left, for my bachelors in accounting. I have strongly considered going to TESC to get an accounting degree, and I have also thought about taking 2-3 basic accounting courses from LSU online. I am very price conscious but I do want to go to a regionally accredited school. Has anybody taken any accounting courses from either of these two schools, or have any recommendations for other schools? Do the courses have any interactive video or is it just studying a boring old textbook on your own? How long does it take to finish one course(8 weeks, 16 weeks)? Any recomendations or comments would be appreciated. Thanks

Since you mentioned you are price conscious, you may want to check out Western Governors University, Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree. The interesting difference with WGU is that you pay for 6-months of tuition and you can take ALL the courses you can handle.
I do know of people who have completed a Bachelor's degree in 6-months. Mind you, this was in Information Technology.

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.
Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.
Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.
Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.
Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

Maybe in the future. All my accounting courses have to be from a regionally accredited school because I live in GA and that is what is required. Have any suggestions?

Just keep in mind your states specific requirements. Some states require AACSB accreditation, there are several schools that offer IS degrees in accounting. Also there are several schools that offer IS degrees in accounting, such as upper iowa and indiana tech.
