  6. Introduction to IT (4)
  7. Data Management - Foundations (3)
  8. Network and Security - Foundations (3)
  9. Web Development Foundations (3)
  10. Data Management - Applications (4)
  11. Business of IT - Project Management (4)

  22. Structured Query Language (4)
  23. Data Structures and Algorithms II (4)
  24. Discrete Mathematics II (4)
  25. Computer Science Capstone (4)

These seems like a lot of classses that I will need to take.
Any advice before I start in june? Is there anyway I will be able to accelerate this, If I am going to be a full time student? Any advice on the specific classes?

Any and all help will be appreciated.

Have you applied to any other schools such as TESU or Excelsior? I may be worth looking at their programs to see who accepts the most credits unless you are totally set on WGU.
Current Course(s): Business Administration Capstone BUS-421 (TESU)

AMU (9); CSM (3); CLEP (15); DSST (3); InstantCert (15); Institutes (3)Military (51); Sophia (6); Straighterline (15); Study.com (6); Thomas Edison State University (3); University of Alaska (12)

Keep in mind that some of those courses cannot be transferred in. You can check your transfer guide to identify those courses.

Once you figure out the courses you can transfer, you will find that the majority of those courses can be found at Study.com, some of them at StraighterLine, and I think a couple are available via Sophia (which is free right now).

That said, you won't necessarily be able to complete those courses any faster via SDC, SL, or Sophia, since you can accelerate pretty easily at WGU if you have the time and background to support it. However, you can begin now, get them done more cheaply, and on your own schedule. Also keep in mind that once you start working through these courses, if you're not ready to begin at WGU, you can also delay your start date until you are ready... you just need to make sure your enrollment counselor is up to speed.

Also remember that once your term begins you won't be able to transfer in any more courses. Any courses taken outside of the school have to be completed, on a transcript, and evaluated by WGU before the beginning of your term in order to be considered.

don't start in June
put it off a month or two
many of those classes can be completed at study.com faster and easier

go ask your question in the wgu computer science reddit
https://www.reddit.com/r/WGU_CompSci/

many people there have done study.com courses and had them transfer into wgu for cs

Also here some gen ed type courses I bet you could find easily through alt credit:

-Technical communication
-American Government
-Introduction to IT (sophia has course with this title and it is free maybe see if it would work)
-Prob and Stat (sophia also has stats that is free and so does aleks)

I agree. Even just waiting until July would be good.

As long as you haven't enrolled yet, you can bring in a LOT of transfer credit to make it a lot more likely that you can finish there in 1 (or 2) terms.

I am currently going to WGU. In my opinion, courses at WGU are more difficult and slower compared to courses at Study.com and Sophia.org. In the WGU accelerators facebook group, it is not uncommon for accelerators to fail an OA. I have not failed one yet, but if you do, you will need to prove to the course mentor and student mentor that you are ready for a second attempt. This whole processes can end up costing you more time than if you didn't try to rush through the course. For that reason, I am not truly accelerating as fast as some other people are.

Study.com gives you more practice tests to prepare you for the proctored final. WGU has 1 pre-assessment (PA) which unlocks the final (OA). That pre-assessment and whatever chapter quizzes there are (if there are even any available for that course) , are all that you will have to prepare you for the final. Your course material will be a pdf text book in most cases. Videos as course material are not included in every class. Taking the pre-assessment again gives you the same exact set of questions. I simply feel that you get more practice tests and quizzes to prepare you at Study.com.

I was able to transfer classes up to one month before my start date. If you can't change your start date, then identify what the consensus is on the difficulty level for each class and knock out the ones that will transfer from Study.com. Not every class at WGU has a proctored final. If the class has a Performance Assessment final then it could be a writing assignment or a project of some type. In my opinion, these are easier and you don't have to look for Study.com equivalents for courses that do not have an OA.

I just knocked out #15. Business of IT Applications a few weeks ago. That course is straight forward and has just one assignment for that course which is writing a paper. Write the paper and you are done with the class! Don't spend time trying to replace that one. #6. Introduction to IT , this could probably be transferred from Sophia.org for free. Sophia's Project Management might transfer to fulfill #11. on your list....but check first!

One last tip, make sure WGU has everything on your transcript before your start date. Don't assume that just because you sent transcripts from ACE to WGU or Sophia.org to WGU that it is automatically on your transcript. Email WGU to speed things up if your start date is approaching and they still have not added the courses to your transcript. Just because WGU acknowledges receiving transcripts from other institutions does not automatically mean it has been applied to your WGU transcript.

Basically - Yes, I would also highly recommend what has been indicated already
- Unless you want to do the course at WGU, it'll save you energy/money/time completing it before enrollment

1) Complete more of the transferable credits from Sophia.org or any other ACE provider
2) Delay your enrollment until all else is completed that can be transferred in
