Affordable accredited doctorate options under 10k

Did you get verification on how many MAOL classes can transfer?  Anyways, there are so many choices to go with, it's just that the budget of 10K is what I am also looking at.  Equivalents from the PI is something I am strongly looking at, AMA options specifically if they're at $5K USD each, I was looking at two doctorates from them...

PI? AMA?

On another note, what do you think about pinning this thread in the Doctorate forum? Cheap self-funded doctorates is a question that comes up a lot. Maybe a thread for ~$10K and under and one for ~$20K and under?

MAOL - nothing really transfers over which was a letdown. I’ve been looking at AMA since it’s around 5K and for a bit I even thought about stacking two docs there just to get it done cheap.
Thing is my cousin back home says AMA isn’t respected much locally and that stuck w me. But then I saw a post (pretty sure from you) where it was in the top 85 and I was honestly shocked didn’t even realize that.
I’d rather pay a few K more for something that actually holds weight either local or in Europe just so it’s easier to explain to my employer. Main issue is timeline tho.
For me it’s really just about checking the box for work. I’m not tryna brag about it or even use Dr title that stuff doesn’t matter. I just don’t want a school that looks shady if anyone digs. I’ve got 15 yrs in biz legal and healthcare and w the lvl 8 I’ll have I figure there should be a decent pathway.
Right now I’m leaning to OSU DHA but still torn on PhD side. Walden’s off my list since my exp w them was bad and advisor was no help. If there’s a creative affordable option that’s still respected I’d like to hear.
And like someone mentioned maybe paying 4K more is worth it for credibility but issue is not many online progs can be wrapped up in under 1.5 yrs

A couple things about AMA:

1. You cannot do either doctorate in 1 year. IIRC both were 2.5 years with no option to accelerate (not that you'd really want to take 18 doctoral credits in a semester anyway). Maybe one was 2 years and the other 2.5. I haven't checked in awhile.
2. Do some due diligence here and on the sister forum. I remember somebody posting an evaluation estimate (for lack of a better term) on the Filipino schools and that evaluator expected the master's and the doctorate from AMA to equate to a master's. Other Filipino schools, Holy Angel University I remember in particular because the DBA was cheap (never responded to my 3 emails asking if it could be done remotely), were expected to evaluate as US doctorates. I remember coming to the conclusion that the estimate was probably in error but I would find that thread and be comfortable with the risk before money changes hands. I figured if I played enough evaluator lottery I would eventually get an answer I liked.
3. If you have a problem with Filipino professors acting like Filipinos at a school in the Philippines this may not be for you. I came across a video on Youtube a couple years ago from a female coed that amounted to 12 minutes of whining about Filipinos having to gall to act like they were in the Philippines just because they were in the Philippines.
4. Check the current tuition and fee structure. ~$5k was a price from a few years ago and most of the cheap doctorates have gone up about 40% since then.

wow I just saw this

U of Gloucestershire from UK, decent public university, I knew they had a DBA but I thought even with topup it should take 3 years. But now I see here the topup phase only takes minimum 12 months. Then the level 8 is self-paced anyways, lets say 3 months. So a very decent DBA for 1.5 years. Though I dont know the price...

Please don't go for them, I mentioned it in February of this year. It's $40K if the pricing hasn't changed yet, that's just them, without the cost of the Level 8 yet... Here's the post: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...#pid436228

Is it reasonable for the DBA at Edgewood to be priced at $10K? They also recommended ESGCI, which seems more self-paced. Would either of these be a better option than the South College DBA? William Woods allows transferring 30 credits and can be completed in a year, but the total cost still goes over $20K. Does anyone have suggestions or advice on which program might be the better choice?

ESGCI has been discussed critically on DegreeForum and DegreeInfo. Its DBA did not appear to be recognized as a doctorate by the French government. TEKMAN on DegreeInfo, a resourceful student with a stellar academic history, enrolled but reported

Edgewood through UpGrad is now priced ~$13,500 for non-U.S. and +$20,000 for US students.

Edgewood is regionally accredited and has a good reputation in its community (southern Wisconsin, where I used to live).

just an update, I aksed the tuition is actually affordable.  If you already hold a level 8, the tuition will only be around 18k pounds for two years total
