Hey I initially wanted 37F! I've pushed back my application for the Sep rated board for Nav/ABM but and re-thinking that one (again) and thinking about trying for the first FY07 non-rated, non-tech board. Here are my choices: 61SXB, Behavioral Scientist, 37F, Manpower-Personnel, and finally back to 31P, Security Forces. It it doesn't work out, I'll remain a UTM and shoot for the stars. I've looked into OCS if OTS doesn't ever work out but I'm not sure about that decision either. I'm still young enough where I can still apply to the PA program as well. USUHS was my original first choice for Clinical Pysch. We'll see what the future holds. Thanks again for staying on here.

slaughterhause Wrote:Sorry I haven't written back... things been a bit crazy. I'm AD Air Force... which is why I'm able to take so many dang tests (since they're free)!

As scottcop1 mentioned, I did in fact get accepted to Officer Training School with my BS from Excelsior. I haven't actually finished the degree -- I have two more tests to take. But it's a pretty frickin' great success story -- no way could I have gotten the degree, from scratch, within two years (with about a solid year of lollygagging) without Instantcert.com Smile.

slaughterhause.

Im in the same boat...I got accepted for OTS as a nav and have 2 more classes to complete before i get my class date. Good luck to everyone applying. Congrats slaughterhause!

I was in 1982 to 1986 and was stationed at Hahn AB in W. Germany. I'm too old to go back in. Although, I'd like to go back in as a sniper! Smile

Can't believe I missed this thread!

I am active duty Air Force stationed at Travis. I'm only 19, but I am a mere 6 CLEPs away from my CCAF... all of which will be easy. (Management, supervision, college math, etc.)

I'm no stellar Airman. I do my work and go home, but I am trying to get my CCAF and then roll right into a bachelors program.

I do plan to put in a package for OTS. Maybe by then it won't be as strict and difficult as it currently is. I won't count on it, but I do plan to at least give it a shot. If not with the Air Force, then the Coast Guard or Navy.

Any advice from those prior-enlisted who crossed over?

Yep, the 349th. I graduated October 2007. My teacher was Ms. Palmer.

The main MTLs at the time were MSgt Wagner-Gates, TSgt Lopez, and TSgt Perez.

Any of that sound familiar?

you mean miss sonya palmer? i knew her..

Msgt Wagner Gates is pretty funny. A good MTL.. i liked her. "if you see someone breaking phase and you don't do anything... you are wrong." Tsgt Lopez is gone. TSgt Perez went over to the 342nd down the street. Ssgt Smyers ("if you see someone doing what they are not suppossed to do.. you need to start snitchin")was there as well as 2 female MTL's. For a while a few people was breaking phase (going to clubs, cutting class and drinking) then everyone was put back to phase 1. They got a lil tougher for morning PT. Overall i'd say it was fun... even going back to phase 1. Cool

Wow! Yes, I do mean Miss Sonya Palmer Smile

I broke phase all the time, honestly. I often went to San Antonio in civilian clothes when I was phase 1, and same with going to the BX at phase 1... I didn't really take it seriously. The only negative thing is the midnight accountability, I cut it close a few times.
