Did anybody use the tuition waiver program at TESC? Can you give more info about the process?

Hi dodek101,
No, TESC does not accept tuition waiver but they do accept the
WIA grant program (thru the workforce development group) that gives a one time $4k allocation.
The tuition waiver program is accepted by public colleges (most if not all of the community colleges and many 4yr colleges/universities in NJ). Give me a a bit to locate the list and I will post it for you. You could start with tuition waiver let them pay your tuition and have unemployment benefits paid while in school (if you can afford it) then once you've gotten all you can from it...or have returned to work, transfer all credits earned to TESC. You could still take clep and dsst exams needed out of pocket for whatever program you choose (that the school allows) or make a master plan for what you could transfer in to TESC later. I used the tuition waiver program in 2004 while I was in between jobs and it saved me quite a bit of money.
