Another degree change and a huge loss of credits
#1
Well, after getting within 21 credits of my liberal arts degree at Excelsior, I have decided to change to a technology degree. The more I look at ways to blend my technical background and a college degree, the more I realize how important it is to have a solid math and science foundation. I start college algebra at the local CC next week with the intention of taking pre-calculus and calculus within a few semesters. One the positive note, I will be able to take far more lower level computer classes which I am looking forward to and the college threw a thousand bucks at me in the form of a grant.

Sometimes changing you major makes the most sense. How many more credits is it going to take?

I am waiting on the new evaluation, but I expect to need about 60 credits. I have decided to use Excelsior as a path to our state university. It is going to take Algebra through Calc III and Calc based Physics I & II. It is nice having the freedom to change my mind and take my time.
