Any "NOT" too difficult Upper Level Humanity courses

drozx12 Wrote:Thanks for all the feedback. I'm pursuing a BS in Liberal Arts and the reason I am looking at UL Humanity courses is that I have to complete 6 more credits to satisfy the Humanities depth overall and I'm almost done with my LL courses. I may have to rearrange my classes.

So for excelsior, Business Ethics & Society is an UL Humanities, Social Science or applied/business?

Yes, DSST Business Ethics & Society is UL in humanities at EC. Double-check in the latest Student Guide to Credit by Exam. https://www.excelsior.edu/469

Now, about the depth in humanities, it is my uderstanding that a depth has to be more specific and not so general (with the exception of math and history). Some examples are listed here - Liberal Arts Bachelors FAQ - excelsior.edu Religion/philosphy, art, literature are specific subjects within the humanities category. Are you enrolled? Have you already gotten your depth options worked out with your advisor? Possibly a depth in religion/philosophy is still valid; I just haven't seen one before.

If not and you need more help, let us know. What depths were you planning? What do you already have several credits in? If it needs to be Arts & Sciences, then History, Math, Psychology have exam options to create a depth.

Thanks Nap for the info on the Biz Ethics exam counting on UL Humanities. Also sorry I used the wrong wording with "Depth" and should have said minimum Humanities "Requirements". I think I"m good to go, thanks again!!

I have taken nothing but UL exams and I have found the easiest one for Humanities was Intro to World Religions. I felt this site had great info on the world relgions exam, as well as the Civil War and Reconstructions. I know some people have said that the Civil War exam is tough, but I personally found it very do able and the site prepared very well for it.

Does Excelsior take ACE transcribed courses from Penn Foster? If so, my son took and found the Terrorism course not too difficult. He has also take the victimology and also thought it was relatively easy. Of course, he has a genuine interest in criminal justice, but I did real the books and look at the lesson plans in case I wanted to take the courses and found them totally doable in a very short period of time. Also, SL is about to launch six new courses this fall, including Business Ethics and Organizational Behavior. Both upper level course for TESC, but I don't know about Excelsior, we are registrared with TESC.
