Any updated places for Math UL in TESU?
#1
So far only ULs I've found are Linear Algebra and Quantitative Analysis from Coopersmith, but the rest seem to be lacking and needs to be supplemented by APU (Cheapest I've found), though they aren't self-paced.

Ran through this list but can't seem to find more, has anyone else tried and found better options?

Did you check the list on the wiki? There aren't a lot of UL math options that are cheap. It's one of the more expensive TESU degrees. https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Sa...egree_Plan
In progress:
TESU - BA Computer Science; BSBA CIS; ASNSM Math & CS; ASBA

Completed:
Pierpont - AAS BOG
Sophia (so many), The Institutes (old), Study.com (5 courses)
ASU: Human Origins, Astronomy, Intro Health & Wellness, Western Civilization, Computer Appls & Info Technology, Intro Programming
Strayer: CIS175, CIS111, WRK100, MAT210

I would recommend reviewing that link and deciding on the 16 credit vs residency waiver. My suggestion however is not to cram all 16 credits into 1 term, you should be able to split that and instead of "saving", you're "investing" in your future educational goals. You can go a flat rate with 12+ credits and the 2nd term, the Capstone (plus any other course you want). Remember, the more you do well on the course can help you get into GT OMSCS, you should also add the UT-Austin MSCS as they are both tied for #38 in the US Rankings.

Coopersmith has a few math courses that are UL (per NCCRS - but not sure if they are all considered UL at TESU):
MAT-301: Concepts in Math and Quantitative Analysis
MAT-302: Calculus
MAT-303: Quantitative Analysis
MAT-304: Probability & Statistics
MAT-305: Linear Algebra

Logan University ($275/cr)
CNSL 503: Statistics (graduate-level)

Westcott Courses (transcripted through Brandman University)
Abstract Algebra 4cr, $973

WTAMU $699/3cr course
MATH3340: Calculus III
MATH 3342: Differential Equations

Statistics.com also has some UL and Grad Level courses that may count as math (they're for the Data Analytics degree) ~ $550/course
TESU BSBA/HR 2018 - WVNCC BOG AAS 2017 - GGU Cert in Mgmt 2000

This one is through Portage and $198/credit: https://portagelearning.com/courses/mathematics/cnsl503

Pricier but self-paced over 16 weeks is NetMath from UIUC: https://netmath.illinois.edu/academics/n...e-students

The 12 credits in "additional area of study electives" can count toward the upper-level requirement if you'd rather take, for example, 200-level math electives and upper-level BIO/CHE/CIS/COS/PHY/etc.
Ongoing: MLIS

June 2022, Thomas Edison State University (TESU): Second degree - BA in Computer Science + ASNSM in Mathematics + Cert. in CIS + Cert. in Operations Mgmt.
e-Packs: Computer Concepts; Industrial Psych.
Guided Study: Comp. Architecture
Online: Intro. to PLA; Database Mgmt.; Software Eng.; Data Structures; Liberal Arts Capstone; DSI-610 (Statistics.com)

May 2019, a residential, RA institution: BA in Political Science and Educational Studies
Relevant equivalencies: MAT-321; MAT-431; STA-315

Thanks everyone!

@dfrecore, only LA and Quanttitave analysis from coopersmith are accepted for UL unfortunately and have already been considered.

@carrythenogthing I've fufiled the additional area of studies from my transfer from a foreign school (though sadly non were UL) so need UL options ideally cheap/self paced.

@bjcheung77, have you taken those classes, are they hard? You don't recommend even if we pre-study before registering for the term?

No, I haven't taken many UL Math courses, it's still a bit hefty of a course load if you do so many UL Math along with the capstone for the 16 credits. I suggested the two term option because I was hinting on the Capstone + another course on your final term, the UL Math can come from a max of four TESU Math courses.

The UL math in TESU isn't really relevant to CS, unfortunately, so I don't think I'll want to spend time on them apart from Cal 3 which is a requirement for BA Math.
1. Have you taken the capstone before, is it a real time sink?
2. and can we do some pre-work ahead of time?

Im pursuing a Math/CS degree and have found Calc1/2 at Study.com Im sure you all know that.
Also self paced with decent prices imo:
Calc1-3 and Differential Equations, self paced West Texas AMU

UND
Calc1-3, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra
