TESU, UMPI, etc, you can get an associates free on route to the Bachelors degree as all the classes required already are taken for the associates when you finish the Bachelors. The main reason I tell people to review the posts, threads, WIKI, and take some time to provide extra details is because, the more info you provide of your situation, the more we can help.
Not only that, you're in the state of NJ, you have 4 years of free education if you are below the income level of $65K. You can use the Fin Aid for taking residency credits at TESU or UMPI, just pay the 90+ credits using Sophia.org or my newest favorite Study.com to get the bulk of your general education, electives, and part of the major/minors.
My suggestion, use my Study.com link to get 90+ credits, TESU - 2 Associates, 2 Bachelors, and 4 Certificates Max - Almost Free!

Hello and thank you for the response!
Unfortunately my family’s gross income doesn’t qualify for that NJ community college grant.
I have used the search feature on this forum but the results don’t come out that specific. And maybe I am not using it correctly lol but please know I have read and am trying to search the threads. I read the wiki but some of the info was out of date (like the POG associates I think it’s called).
If I don’t qualify for the free community college benefit, besides the Sophia and study.com fees, what would be the best and lowest price route to first get the associates in criminal justice in your opinion before the bachelors? Sorry I am still a bit confused
Thank you!
Edit: can you post your study.com link and what discount does it apply?

It's in my bio/signature for the Study.com discount, it's 10% off. The freebie from any of the recommended institutions we recommend, in your particular case, TESU since you're in the state. You can use the dual enrollment option to get the residency credits, you get instate pricing. I'd review the WIKI plan for the freebie associates, and you can get the BALS while you're at it.

Can you direct me to the TESU freebie associates?

What BJ means by a freebie associate’s at TESU or UMPI is that it will entail no additional cost when earned on the way or concurrently to a bachelor’s degree. It’s not free of cost, alas.

So just to clarify, which would be the CHEAPEST path to earn just an associates degree using as many sophia/study.com credits? I see the paths for bachelors but what about just for a regionally accredited associates?
Thanks everyone !

There's not a ton of options for cheap associate degrees unfortunately. Often your home state will have the cheapest option at community or technical colleges.
