Does anyone know if I meet the requirements for a Business Minor, if UMPI would let me use that as my minor for my BLS degree instead of the ones listed on the site?
I appreciate any guidance.
Thanks.

You would have to attach or provide the list of courses you've taken for us to determine that. Assuming you're talking about the UMPI website, their catalogue takes precedence if there's a dispute on which courses apply, so that's something to keep in mind. My advisor also stated that any courses transferred in are dependent on the Transcript Evaluation team, so they weren't able to accurately say which courses I could take to transfer in.

My question is not particularly on which courses qualify for the Business minor. I’m more curious if I can do. BLS with a Business Minor instead of doing one of their listed minors for the BLS.
Can the Business minor be the minor of choice for the BLS?

Do you mean the Business Administration minor? Or some other minor in the field of business?

Adding on to ss20ts, there is no general Business minor at UMPI, the closest is the Business Administration minor they mentioned. Also, if you have credit for business courses through alternative means, they may transfer in as general business electives. That's what happened to me, I took 3 business courses at CC but none of them were equivalent to any of the business courses. They've tightened the rope on what business courses can transfer in as recently.
Edit: I've read a post here about people who were able to get a minor that wasn't listed, but that was for math and it was a few years ago so it probably isn't possible anymore if I'm not mistaken. Getting a minor in just business would be difficult given the wide variety of busines degrees and minors offered by UMPI.

And the requirements for a business admin minor is not as extensive of some of the BABA degrees. So transfering in some classes would be easier.

I'm attempting to do the same thing and yes, the Business Admin minor is the most flexible with transfers. I've taken Financial Accounting and Business Math through Study.com, I'm still waiting to see if it transfers in. On Sophia, I completed Microeconomics but still need to do Macro, my progress slowed down because the term started so I'll be juggling that through the term.
This is what I used to see if there were Sophia/Study.com equivalents. You can also view other institutions, but something to note is that database is how courses transferred in the past and those do change periodically as I was informed by ss20ts. Which is why I haven't confirmed that those would transfer in yet because I'm still waiting as well. Ultimately, it'll depend on the Transfer Credit Evaluation team at UMPI.

So I can change my minor to a Business Admin minor as my sole minor for the BLS degree?
If so that is probably what I will do.

Sorry, I should've clarified, I'm doing a BA in Psychology and trying to add a Business Administration minor. As for Business Admin being the sole minor for the BLS degree, I don't think it's possible, I'm guessing it's because the courses in the minor overlap with the BLS requirements. That's why either you'd have to do the BBA or if you're doing a BLS, it would have to be from one of the available business minors. I don't see it on UMPI's website or the DegreeForum Wiki either.
Are you enrolled at UMPI currently? If so, it's probably worth discussing with your advisor. If you're planning to apply, you'd have to first be accepted and assigned a specialist who can see what you transferred in and what you'd need to take.

After further research through the school I can confirm that a Business Admin is accepted as the sole minor for the BLS degree.
