BSBA/BBA first, or straight to an MBA?

I don't have a BALS, but I did earn a non-business degree first. I debated getting an MBA or BSBA. An MBA is probably the best option for most people. For me, it was cheaper to complete the BSBA. I also didn't have the energy to complete another graduate program, and TESU's BSBA allowed me to complete credits little by little. Really, if I did a career change, it would be to IT, and the BSBA program requires twice as many IT credits as Patten's MBA program.

OT but let me say bless you for taking care of your grandmother. Dementia is so hard. There’s a guy on you tube who is filming his days with his mom so that people can better understand what dementia is really like.

I wish it was resume worthy. Personally I think some really valuable life skills are being gained, but I do understand why it’s not relevant to the workforce or the MBA.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday season with her!

It's usually much faster and thus probably faster to complete an MBA than a BSBA. Also better to have a master's degree than a bachelor's degree. The opportunities for testing out of part of an MBA are few, if any. It is possible to test out of some BSBA courses.
