I am going to be taking both USSR and Modern Europe since 1945 in January (DSST'S).
Can you guys give me good book suggestions? I am going to do IC flashcards Thanks! Need help ASAP

Thank you for the reply; I had seen that.
I think a better question would be, which of these books is more high yield or effective? Due to budget constraints, I can only get one or two of each so I am hoping to get the books that are the most effective. Thanks!

Suggestion to increase the bang for your buck: once you have a short list, see which ones you can get from the public library, including interlibrary loan. I bought almost no books for any of my exams, just ones I wanted to have after the test.

However, some of those books (abliet old editions) are for around $5 at amazon - so I want to pick up books that I would actually read. That's why I was looking for opinions on which ones are good. I guess a lot depends on how much you know about these subjects right now.
I passed Europe since 1945 cold (not by much!)after taking Soviet Union. I ended up looking at the flashcards after and I would say that they would be enough to pass. Soviet Union, flashcards and read Wikipedia on all of the hints in the exam threads. You really need to understand the events, how and why they happened rather than memorize the flash cards. Hope this helps.
