I have 5 days left until my first Masstercursos degree expires and I'm going to finish the whole thing in that time (I had done most of the reading in Spanish before with a dictionary, but stopped once I hit the videos as I can't understand any spoken Spanish).

I enabled Google Chrome Automatic Captions and it works decently well, there is a huge delay between the speaking and the translation but it works well enough for me to get most of the videos.

Someone told me that the Masstercursos degree isn't impressive. What's impressive is doing the degree in a language I don't speak!

I started Cybersecurity.  So far translation has been easy (using DeepL and Perplexity Pro).  The only snag is DeepL has a word limit and Perplexity is starting to cut its responses short.  Probably going to do the DeepL 30 day trial

Masstercursos replied about my refund. They said since the Black Friday sale is now over, it would be more expensive for me to cancel and reorder than to just keep my order and they strongly advise me to keep my order. I ended up getting an unexpected windfall so will just suck it up and keep my order.

I highly recommend the Deepl 30 day trial for exactly that. Merge all the PDFs together into one file and chuck them all into Deepl.

I'm currently going to take an alternate approach of reading only the sections relevant to each homework assignment.

There are free programs that can create a written transcript of a video, which you can then translate into English.

The Chrome-addon is pretty effective, it translates in real time as the video plays. But after translating the videos I realized I didn't need to understand what was in them anyways, all the info is actually in the course readings. The videos are just like a talk show discussion with no useful info.

Masstercursos says you have one year to finish your courses. It's been over a year since I purchased my course, I never finished or turned in any assignments, and they still give me access to the course.

Idk, maybe you could ask them and let us know. I was told right after they increased pricing you could take the programs at the older price if you emailed them.

Congrats on getting through the degree in Spanish. How did you approach the thesis at the end??
