Hi There,
I recently took the CLEP exam (Intro to Psychology) and passed it. This was my first CLEP exam; however during the examâs initial registration it prompts you to select a School for the transcript. Typically for DSST (Dantes) TESC (Thomas Edison State College) you are allowed to enter the school code and TESC electronically receives the transcript. However on the CLEP exam registration, TESC was not listed on their drop down menu or an option to enter the school code.
I continued with the exam as the School/institute was not listed. After finishing the exam, the proctor handed over the âCandidate Score Reportâ which shows the details about the exam and scores. In addition there is another section under the scores, called âAdditional CLEP Transcript Request Formâ with the instructions and requires $20 payment.
My Question is
1.How can I transfer the transcript to TESC without incurring cost of $20.
Please let me know how to do this in detail. Or would it be better to transfer all of the clep exams over at one time to avoid paying individually for each one? Thanks

That would probably be your best bet. Take all your CLEPs, pay the $20, and get them all on one transcript.

I took College Comp on the 16th and I was able to select TESC for the score recipient. I found it as Thomas Edison State College under the New Jersey tab so I'm sure why you weren't able to see it. If you don't select it at the time of testing they are extremely unlikely to work with you on it and you'll probably have to pay. If you take another test and can't find it then ask the proctor to help and hopefully it can get resolved.
My completed "non-traditional" credits include 27 credits from CLEP, 30 credits from DSST, 6 credits from ALEKS, 19 credits from FEMA courses including PDS, 3 credits from NFA courses, 10 credits from ACE Workplace Training, 3 credits from a TESC TECEP exam, and 3 credits from a TESC PLA course.

If you really couldn't find your school (and I agree, Thomas Edison is there under NJ but you have to select the state first), the proctor should have shown you how to select "Not Listed" and then had you complete a form with your university's mailing address. The test center is then responsible for faxing that form to CLEP and that service is included in the test fee.
Next time you take another CLEP exam, make sure the proctor stays with you to help you find TESC because it is there. For those of you who have difficulty finding your university and you want to send them your official results, "Not Listed" is at the bottom of every state's listing of universities. Select that and then talk with the test center proctor/administrator before you sign out and leave so that you can get this taken care of.

I second this. This is exactly what I had to do, then the next time I took a test, TESC was on the drop down list.
