COSC cornerstone and capstone
#1
does anyone know if the cornerstone and capstone are counted as UL classes? I just put together a list of classes from TECEP that are accepted as UL courses for COSC. I need 30 UL credits, if cornerstone and capstone are counted as UL that means I only have to complete 24 UL credits. Which is only 8 classes!

The TECEPs can be insanely difficult. I would try to use SDC as much as possible. Cheaper and, generally, easier.

That said, the cornerstone is definitely LL. The capstone should be UL.

Tceps are $75 per exam. SDC is $200/mo and you can only do 2 exams a month, right? So technically TCEP is cheaper.

A TECEP is $50 per credit, $75 per credit for UL exams. Each 3-credit UL exam is $225.

SDC allows you to take up to 5 exams in a month. The first 2 are included in the $200 price. Then you can pay for 3 more at $70 each.

OMG! Wow! You've got the dibbs on the TECEPS! Where can I get it that cheap?! What you quoted is per credit upper level.
Essentially, It's $50/credit for LL and $75/credit for UL, so it's $150/course lower level or $225/course upper level.
Study.com is half the price and if you can do an extra course per month, it's just $70/extra exam and up to 5 courses/month.

UExcel exams are NOT easy, so keep that in mind.  You also need to find an open testing center, whereas with TECEP's you can test at home.

Study.com is your cheapest option for UL credits.

And depending on the school you go to, you need to see where things fit into your plan.  For TESU, if you're getting a BALS, you need all of your UL to be in the AOS, and all have to be Liberal Arts courses.  At COSC and EC, it will differ depending on which degree you get as to where the UL have to fall.

All UL credit is not created equal!

This is the best advice for me right now. I’m being way to impatient. I’ll wait for everything to be evaluated and I will go from there. For now I’m gonna work on my intro to technology class for pierpont bog.
