I'm starting the LA capstone this April 1st, and am trying to get a head start on my work. What seems to be completely baffling to me is how to cite a Kindle book, especially one without real page numbers. Does anyone have experience with this that they are willing to share? I'm sure I'll have more questions, but for now, this one seems particularly arcane. Thanks

The attached links contain information on how to cite kindle book using MLA, APA, and Chicago. It also disccuses how to get around a ban on citing ebooks.
Quote:If you’re writing an academic paper and need to cite a Kindle book, you’ll quickly notice a problem: there are no pages, and therefore no page numbers. The wrong approach is to complain about the device for not being a printed book; the better approach is to figure out how to make it work for your research, so you can take advantage of ebooks now instead of waiting for academia to catch up.

Quote:Citing books accessed on ereaders can be difficult for several reasons. You may wonder, is it cited as a book or as a file? How do you specify where a direct quotation came from if there are no static page numbers? Where in the citation do you indicate which ereader you accessed it on?
Overall, the various formats suggest that books accessed on ereaders be treated as digital files when citing. Below are details on how to cite in the various styles. We still suggest that you check with your instructor in case they have any special instructions for citing books accessed on ereaders.

Thanks for the help. Anyone willing to send me some examples of the first draft chapters. It seems that writing a paper is really not that difficult, except for the APA format, its the outlines and drafts that seem a bit confusing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I feel your pain, nosayso! Throughout the entire course I was searching for examples to keep me in line with what the professor was looking for. Here are the first five drafts of my paper and I'll post the entire capstone in another reply. Hope they help!

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! The last paper I wrote for college was in, ugh...1983. The only requirement was that it was typed; yes on a typewriter, doubled spaced. That's it. This project is much more involved, consequently, more stressful. Thank you again for your assistance.
