Can’t set aside the time for a masters yet. Too many moving parts in my household at the moment. But, I don’t want to take a complete break.
Wondering if there are any certs you guys would recommend? Basically looking for something relatively quick, cheap, fun to go through, ideally self paced, that might look decent to add to a resume. I was thinking something in the business/management/leadership end of the spectrum, but not stuck on that.

For cheap, it's difficult to beat 12 months of Coursera Plus @ $200 off right now. Then take whatever certs strike your fancy. If you're looking for something a little more "robust", I'm not sure what's good out there.

I guess I'm going to start off the new year on a slightly sour note. I'm going to ask what seems to me to be a pretty basic question: Does a quick, cheap, fun certification actually have any value?

Sometimes. I do a bunch of little trainings/certs and sometimes I can use them for CEUs/CPEs, sometimes I just use them as an opportunity to make a post on LinkedIn, showing my network (and potential employers) continuing learning, and sometimes I can learn a bit about a new subject for background knowledge.

The argument is that it shows continuous learning, or could potentially learn something useful.
The reality for me is that it is easier to keep moving than to stop and start. I finished my BS a couple months ago and haven’t figured out exactly what I want to do next or when I can set aside the time, but the home is certs like these will keep me moving until I can figure it out.
