Thank you for your great advices and information.

It seems that NAU is my only choice in this case.

My goal is to be able to experience the education of a top university in person, and given that I won't be moving out of Melbourne any time soon University of Melbourne should be the most ideal school for me. I'm willing do whatever it takes to get entry.

here's another option

why not complete an Assocaites Degree in Computer Science from TESU or a Community College.

Then apply into a BS/BA in CS at the University of Melbourne and study there part time.

Heck, they even hava a Diploma in Computing if you have a high school cert.
