Not sure if any of you are scuba divers, but while inputting my study.com course last night on Ace I saw where PADI is ACE approved. That means the Open Water Diver course I took last summer while in Guam is good for 2 credits. While I don't particularly need them, I don't see any reason not to add them as others have stated. So if you're a recreational diver and need some free electives don't forget to add these.

Thanks for the reminder. I took Open water in 2014 but it totally slipped my mind that I can use them!

Bummer - I did NAUI and they aren't ACE-approved! If only I knew then what I know now! LOL

I wish I'd known this! I did my closed water years ago but never did the open water because we were so land locked and none of the lakes around qualified. Now that I'm in the PNW I totally could have done the open water to get the 2 credits fast. Hope someone adds this to the wiki credit sources!

If you look up PADI they have a whole list on there, Open Water was alll I got to do while deployed there. I wanted to do advanced, but only so much diving can be done in 30 days. Being able to do the open water over just a weekend was also a huge benefit and in Guam it's a huge savings.

Just practicing my necromancy here to say that SSI also has some ACE-approved offerings, if you were certified before 2008.

Thank you for this info; I was able to toss in multiple certifications all the way up to divemaster for some easy credits.
