I called CLEP last week to get my transcript sent to TESU. I have a maiden name and current name, and took some of my CLEPs in 2014 under my maiden name.
When my name was changed in 2015, I called CLEP and informed them of my new name and requested that they update their records. The rep told me that they could not do that, that my name in the records had to stay as the name I originally tested under. I made a second CLEP account, as under my current married name to match all my government-issued identification in order to take additional exams. That was on the explicit advice of the College Board representative, who insisted at the time that there was no way to change the name so I could have all my tests on one account.
Now when I called CLEP, they informed me that in order to get my transcripts, I would either have to order a transcript from each account (and pay double the fees) or have them combine both accounts under my current name (which is what I specifically asked them to do in 2015 to avoid dealing with this situation now, and they told me that wasn't an option.) CLEP told me combining the accounts will take 3-4 weeks, after which time I will be able to order my transcript.
Has anyone else had this situation? How long did it take to combine the accounts, and how were you notified?
