I felt the same way. I was thrown for a loop by some of the questions, even the essay questions. I think that studying the quizzes would be helpful in this one, for anyone still looking to take this exam.

I completed Public Speaking and Macroeconomics today. I probably should spend less time on each, but I want to be really certain that I get the college credit. I might do a third exam today. Maybe the one that's easiest for me.
Macro seemed pretty easy to me, and I think Micro will be about the same. It is not my first time learning some of the concepts, but I have always been more confused and felt Macro was harder than Micro. With Davar, I am expecting Micro to not be easier, but not be harder either.
If someone doesn't have any prior knowledge, I think they better look things up and not only rely on the slides, especially for scenarios like what happens to the one number when the other one rises or falls, or when the government changes a certain policy, or the labor force or labor costs change.
Public Speaking was easier than I expected, but again I was well prepared. I feel like some of us who are getting a lot of Davar credits are good test-takers and may have given others wrong expectations. I agree with gator that you get used to the test format which helps. I was one who was hesitant because of the presence of essay questions.
I enjoy these, but I wish I didn't have to rush as much. I am rushing because I didn't even take my 2nd exam until 3 days ago.

NonTrad posted yesterday about accounting 101. I think it was about Financial Accounting.

I took financial accounting/ACCT 301 and scored an 86. It was the more math-oriented accounting class of the two accounting classes at Davar. At least that is what I thought after taking intro accounting several months after taking ACCT 302. If I remember correctly, it had ten or so questions that required calculations. For calibration purposes, I scored 87 on ACCT 302. So I would definitely have a calculator ready and a sheet of paper and pencil. The calculations were not impossible and the essays are a good thing for an accounting exam. They made it easier for me. My take is that there are a couple of situations in which Davar puts the calculations into one exam and not the other. I think that this was true for the Finance series of courses and also the Accounting pair. The last Finance course had all the math and the first accounting course had all the math. Of course, that was my impression.

I have a question that may truly reflect my level of ignorance!
Is a basic calculator acceptable? Or is a scientific calculator required?

I just used an extremely simple basic calculator. The calculations were simple enough that I didn't need anything different.

To update, Davar did respond to my inquiry regarding the CIS-101 exam, and after manual review (that one is automated afaik, inlcuding the 10 fill in the blanks), I was awarded a couple more correct answers resulting in a pass.

I finished my twice-over read of the ACCT 301 Introduction to Accounting Study Guide. I believe I have grasped the majority of the concepts presented there, but there was mention of a number of calculation questions in the exam itself. The study guide didn't cover too much in terms of calculations; were they deceptively simple, or does this warrant further review through the provided quizzes?
After experiencing two exams that had content not covered in the study guide, I am highly wary at this point...

This is great to hear. I am impressed with Davar at this point.
