Hi Everyone... I think i may be on the right track for my UMPI BABA Management and Leadership Degree. Ive been reading tons of posts and feel like Ive learned alot. I applied for UMPI Fall 1 but the admission letter came back with a Fall 2 enrollment. I was expecting to start taking classes there in August but it seems like it will be October now. I could probably reach out and ask why I was put into Fall 2 instead of Fall 1, but i'm not that entirely concerned about it. I was not planning on taking any Study.com courses with a Fall 1 enrollment but now I might as well. However, as ive read, some of the Study courses are more involved than the actual UMPI equivalents. I was looking at maybe Study.com BUS 209, 304, 309. If anyone has any insight or advice to give, id love to hear it.
Additionally, with the extra time I think I could know out a few more Sophia courses like : Ethics and Business Law and be more prepared for UMPI in the fall. What do you think?
Oh, also, I graduate from Pierpont with my Associates on Aug 3.
Thanks
Ryan

I would focus on completing the GEC except for 2D and 4A which you have to take at UMPI. Then I would see what business courses you have remaining and can complete on Sophia. Remember you must complete a minimum of 30 credits at UMPI.

Looks like you've got all of your sciences and foreign language completed, so that's great!
With SDC, if there are 0 assignments, it's probably easier there. If there are assignments, it may be easier at UMPI instead.
Another option for completing credits is to use Coursera certificates: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Coursera Some people say it's worth it, others say Coursera is more work than UMPI.
However, because UMPI is supposed to be switching over to Brightspace from Strut in Fall 1 or Fall 2, it's possible that current course contents may change significantly before you start taking classes. If it looks easy at SDC or Coursera, I would say to go ahead and take it. But do keep in mind that you'll need to complete at least 30 UMPI credits in order to get your degree.

@Jarnaginra, Great job in getting this far, it seems you've pretty much decided on the UMPI BABA Management & Leadership. You haven't filled in the addendum... So, just curious - How do you know that degree is the one you're looking at? Did you compare it to any others? Do you have a degree plan for the spreadsheet? I would recommend creating a spreadsheet for reference and tracking purposes. You may want to review the WIKI degree plan and customize it to your liking if you want: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/UM...egree_Plan

You did not need to take Human Bio & Intro to IT, but that's water under the bridge. You do need to take Intro to Ethics.
It looks like you are left with 17 courses to take at UMPI, so I'd probably take at least 5 at SDC in order to get your count down to 12; any more than that, and you're probably 3 terms at UMPI instead of 2.
Any of these will come in to the core or concentration:
ACC 301: Applied Managerial Accounting
BUS 303: Management Information Systems
BUS 304: Leading Organizational Change
BUS 209: Mentoring & Leadership Development in the Workplace
BUS 306: Strategic Human Resources Management
BUS 309: Digital Marketing & Advertising
BUS 307: Leadership & Organizational Behavior
BUS 312: Advanced Operations Management

Edit Reason: Clarity
)
My transfer evaluation didn’t come in as expected unfortunately. It says my courses at Pima didn’t transfer over to fill GEC 5A, 2E or 3E. I’m really confused about 3E since all my science courses had labs. 5A is annoying also since I took a course called Cultural Geography at Pima. I wonder if it would behoove me to request an appeal.

@Jarnaginra, Hmm... I would try appealing, you need to ask your UMPI academic advisor the following.
Your Art 105, does it hit the 2E (Art History) and your BIO 105IN, does it hit the 3E (BIO & Lab), plus...
It doesn't seem like you took a Sociology course for 5A, ask if your REL 200 could be used for that spot.

I definitely am going to ask about it soon. I was for sure I was looking at transferring over all my GECs. If not, I guess I just have a few more Sophia courses to take

I would definitely appeal all 3. It may be as simple as getting the syllabi, or even the catalog info.
