Degree from Sophia Courses Alone?

Has anyone seen a scenario where someone has transferred 99% (minus any capstone/cornerstone requirements, etc.) of an Associate's degree into the big 3 or another school?

With the breadth of Sophia's catalog right now, that would be a decent offering if someone could pull that off. There certainly are enough LL credits in their catalog.

You could definitely do this with TESU and a plain AA degree. The only course missing from Sophia is American Government and that can be had from InstantCert. However, the cost of this is going to be prohibitively high, around $5000, due to the cornerstone and the residency waiver. 

The cheapest option would be to get the Pierpont BOG AAS. This does require 12 RA credits but those can be had relatively inexpensively via TEL Learning ($800 total for 4 classes) and/or ASU EA ($1700 total for 4 classes). Charter Oak also requires 12 RA credits for their Associate's degrees. You would then pay around $2200 additional in tuition and fees to get your Associate's degree, bringing the cost up to at least $3k for a COSC AA or AS. Cheaper than TESU but definitely more costly than Pierpont.

Very close to do-able! Just pay the waiver basically for an associates through them.

You're going to pay about the same for an Associates as for a Bachelors from the Big Three because the fees at the end are almost the same. There's really no reason to do it.

For the Big 3, it's either not worth doing (too expensive) or can't be done (RA requirements). TESU has the RW which makes it too expensive (only $1557 less than the BA). EC has the capstone for AA's making it the same price for the BA. COSC is the only one with RA requirements, but even doing that, you could easily take 12cr through TEL (total of $800) and the price is decent.

COSC AA $2517 (includes tuition for cornerstone and fees + $800 for TEL) - xfer in 45cr Alternative/12cr RA (actual price before TEL is $1717)
TESU AA $5097 (includes tuition for cornerstone and fees) - xfer in 57cr, all Alternative
EC AA $5300 (includes tuition for Info Lit, Cornerstone, Capstone, and fees) - xfer in 53cr, all Alternative

Yes. As far as I'm aware, they still take the Instant Cert American Government. They should also take SL? What they do NOT take is SDC Political Science 102 because they now bring that in as POS-100 instead of the required POS-110.

COSC does not require American Government at all, that's TESU.
