I would seriously consider TESU Bachelor in Computer Science if I was you.

University of Boulder had some electronics masters on Coursera (no bachelors needed I believe), but that would probably be expensive.
What was the program that you have studied earlier for those 3.5 years, no chance that it would be evaluated as equivalent to bachelors somewhere in Europe thus with possibility of going for masters in Europe where there will be much better choice than with bachelor studies....?
If it was in Germany, could it be used eg. towards bachelors from IU.org, they don't have electronics though, but eg. robotics with IoT part, I remember they were open to evaluate previous study.
Or at least in UK where they seem to have more granular path leading to degree (at least it is first time here that I read about top-ups in UK)

Tomas, it was a "Ausbildung", basically a vocational 3,5 yr programm.

Unfortunately it's not bachelor level.

In Germany some private Unis might accept some classes, but they would still be to expensive. 15k€+
I will take a look at IU, also at some Saylor courses to build up some form of credits.

You could consider getting your "Meister" (post-vocational additional training) and then try to get accepted directly into a Masters Degree Program in Germany, for example in Electrical Engineering. That might be quicker than getting a Bachelor's degree first. Just throwing it out there, although I don't know the details of that.

I am German, too, by the way. Came to the US 20 years ago. Currently, helping our children get Bachelor's degrees at TESU with the intention of getting a Masters in Germany or Austria afterwards.

*ding ding*, as I also mentioned earlier, do the TESU BACS... or even better, if you have the energy, money, time to do a few more classes, you can do the BACS and the BSBA CIS combo with about 5 extra classes. Either way, there is a couple of degree plans on the WIKI, follow that...
