I'm not sure if I'm going to get around to taking my two study.com finals this month.
Do they roll over to the next month or will it be lost forever?
Thanks!

If you're literally not going to get to them, maybe try taking a subject exam you know cold and see if you can get a decent score so it's not all lost?
Or do you have to do quizzes BEFORE exams? I forget the specifics

When are those finals over for you?
How far have you gone through their quizzes?
If you know the subject well, finish the exam.
Work on the quizzes afterwards.

I changed my membership to Premium when I thought I was in the same boat. But only do this if you want to stay with them for a couple of months after since they apply the prorated amount to future month(s).

Huh. Interesting.
Didn't know you could do exam before finishing the quizzes.
This month got goofed up because of submitting the speeches for COM 101. Had every intention of getting them done early, but have not yet. Sadly, it says speeches need to be submitted before taking exam...

I don't know for a fact that you can.

Unless they changed it recently, you can't take the final until all quizzes are completed. There's a checklist under the Syllabus (or is it Exams?) tab that show what needs to be completed before each exam; you can check there to find out for certain.
I believe that Study.com told me once that extra purchased exams do rollover into the next month, but the first 2 exams per month do not. I can't find the email, so hopefully Study.com will come on here and clarify if that is the case.

I can't seem to quote you, triforce822, but wanted to say that I have submitted assignments after the final and it's been OK.
Finishing the quizzes is what unlocks the final, in my experience. BUT, for a class like History 108: History of the Vietnam War (the version without writing assignments), it only takes a couple hours to do the quizzes (there are only 32).
What I usually do to save time is read the summary for each lesson, take the open book quiz (having another window open with the transcript) and retake using the transcript until I get 100%. Usually the 2nd try. We get three tries so it's an efficient system.
Something I have to keep reminding myself before taking finals is that 56% is a pass. I've had no trouble passing without further study and I'd bet you won't either.
Anyway, done this way it's likely no more than a few hours and you'll be done with course and have 3 transferable units.
Also, my extra exams roll over but the two per month never have.
I've been able to complete 17 courses in 2 months at SDC this way. It's phenomenal!

Hi All,
Great questions! Yes, you do have to take all the quizzes before you can take the final exam. You get two final exams per month, and if you don't use them, then unfortunately, they will not roll over. However, if you purchase additional final exam options, those will rollover and will be available to you until you decide to take the final exam.
If the course requires additional assignments, you can complete those after you take the final exam; however, your final grade for the course will not be complete until all quizzes, final exams, and any additional assignments are completed (if there are any).
Thank you all!
Best,
The Study.com Team
